Barry is still married to the same woman all his life now, lives in Miami. Maurice on the right passed first during an operation in the hospital in Miami, unexpectedly. Had a wonderful wife and kids, some sing. Robin lived in England, passed a few years later from cancer. Robin and Maurice were twins, a year younger than Barry. They started singing at 3 and 4. Another brother younger sang beautifully too, but he passed in the 80's, sang like Barry.

The best part of their live aid performance was Freddie doing his vocal warmups in my opinion, it truly showed how loved and amazing he was, showed he is undoubtedly the best front man of all time for bands. Just imagine, doing your WARM UPS with no instruments behind you, it's quiet otherwise, and a crowd of 72,000 as a whole repeating them after you, the feeling, the butterflies that must have brought on considering it was just just him and the crowds vocals reverberating back onto him and everyone on stage... incredible.

Also, you did not get the name of the band correct. "Straits," not Strait. You also could not pronounce the simple word "sultan" - sul-tan. You seem to be lacking in basic skills and sensitivity to detail. Sorry to be so rough on you - but my reaction is honest and real as you say yours is. I think you just need to find another gig. You're not well suited to this. And again, that perspective is allowing for differences in taste. You just seem to be lacking the chops. You know you’ve witnessed God through art when you don’t want it to end. ❤. I had the same reaction hearing this song on the radio in 1976. I bought the album when I didn’t even have a record player so I could read the lyrics and figure out what I was hearing. Amazing song and amazing band. You should also hear Freddie’s opera (written and performed by him) with Monserrat Caballe (the best soprano ever) written in the late 1980s. Check out the song Barcelona (one of the songs) to find it.

While Queen were not tea totalers during performances they did not perform “ripped”; they were and are the consummate professionals. That day Freddie was advised not to perform due to a throat infection so he’s probably drinking something to help with that. Only once did Freddy perform drunk. Further the crowd who were not there to see Queen were performing hand and clap gestures from the video for Radio Ga Ga - in amazing unison as you pointed out - demonstrative of their popularity and the power of video which was still relatively new and surprised the band. Look up the video for that song and you’ll see close up what they were doing. As a 64 year old life long Queen fan great to discover you discovering them! It’s a great journey! Don’t just do the radio hits do the deep dive into their older albums as well - it won’t disappoint! March of the Black Queen, Fairy Fellers Masterstroke, Ogre Battle, White Queen, Nevermore, Jesus, Mustafa, Barcelona, Innuendo - their variety, originality and musicianship are masterful. ❤
